Social Metrics & ROI
Social Metrics and ROI course was a challenge to look behind the scenes of brand campaigning, emphasizing the history of social analytics that is necessary in understanding how the efforts of reputation and marketing pushes the work for value in a brand’s exposure. It was interesting to look into some of my favorite brands and their analytics; expansive in my knowledge of sales goals, and localization of a focused product that has become a major impact in social engagement. I found the class very easy to navigate, as the assignments were very research-based, gaving me a sense that the goal this month was to become more insightful in my professional journey toward brand awareness, while having the opportunity to enhance my skills as someone who works within large retail brands, and on a career path toward management and Brand Communications. I was also able to gain further skills in data collection, social engagement tactics, and presentation. The Brands chosen within this month highlighted personal interest as well as professional discovery informative about historical efforts to build a business reputation going beyond local businesses. I was able to learn how simple storytelling can create a largely impactful response for long-term effects. For example, the capstone client project allowed me to compare other brand strategies for reputable growth, which also gave me a chance to tap into media design ideas, and awareness to what creative strategies can be produced from an audience reach that feels emotionally connected to both the product and its consumerism. This month gave me a sense of understanding of my career goals as a current Brand Ambassador, making me feel a great deal of confidence that I am equipped with further knowledge going into Retail Management, while on the road to campaign launching in the future endeavors of corporate relations, or my own launch of a business venture.
